Grace Church Shirley is affiliated with Charis International Alliance, a global consortium of likeminded, autonomous local churches.

Grace Church was born with a passion to see people really live the Christian life. Not just Sundays, but every day! People wonder, "Do I really need to go to church to be Christian?" Perhaps another question will help; "Does a professional footballer need to go to his games"? Yes, of course. A big reason we meet together is to encourage each other. The church is a body of people, not a building - A community for activity and dealing with real life issues, not ritual and religion. There is a need today for a return to the Scriptures; more of an emphasis on personal salvation through Jesus Christ. Other churches in the area have welcomed our approach.

Today, hundreds of Grace Churches around the world join together, united by our love for Christ, belief in his Word, and commitment to service.

Jesus said in the Gospel of Matthew, that the greatest commands are to love God and to love others. Obviously, relationships are important to HIM. At Grace Church, we understand that today's lifestyles make relationships difficult. marriage, family, work, friendships - we want them all to be good. But, It's not always easy. That's why we emphasise practical teaching and discussions on what the Bible says about relationships. We encourage each other, listen, and most importantly, we pray to the best friend we have - God! The doors of our Church are wide open. We are especially pleased when people, searching to be sure about Jesus and how He can relate to their lives, come to visit and become friends. We want to share the joy and fulfilment we have found in Jesus Christ with others. We are all for building up relationships at Grace Church.

"Be imitators of God... and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us" The Apostle Paul in Ephesians 5:1,2 New International Version of the Bible

We believe what God said in the Bible is still true - that He desires a relationship with us today and forever. In fact, He said through the Gospel of John, "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16) Grace Church is committed to studying the Bible in order to better know the Author and Creator. We want to live life God's way. We desire to help you learn how to study the Bible rather than tell you what to believe. Come join us as we follow HIM.
